Government Shutdown

Government-ShutdownWHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU?
by: Allen Domelle

I woke up this morning to drive to the airport to find out that the world did not come to an end. The stars were still shining as I drove to the airport. The roads had not crumbled when I pulled my car out of the garage. The TSA agents were still working at the airport as I checked in for my flight. The air was still breathable as I walked from my car to the terminal. In fact, as I drove to the airport the highways seemed busier than normal with truckers carrying freight. If you listened to the news reports, you would think the government shutdown would cause the United States to crumble.

As I sat in airports yesterday, I heard the heightened pitch of the news reporters voice talking about the government shutdown as if it’s the apocalypse. President Obama said, “A shutdown will have a very real economic impact on real people, right away,” Really? Senator Reid refused to sit down with Republicans in a conference to hammer out a deal like any business does in negotiations. As soon at the shutdown happened, both Democrats and Republicans were pointing fingers on who’s to blame.

What affect will the government shutdown have?

I certainly feel for those workers who will be affected, but what is amazing is they say they will send “non-essential” workers home. If they’re non-essential, then why are they working? If you’re a government worker who was sent home, then they are telling you that you have no job security because you are non-essential.

  • The shutdown means that federal parks and monuments will be closed.
  • 94 percent of the EPA employees will be sent home. HMMM, non-essential? Just asking.
  • 87 percent of Commerce workers will be sent home.
  • 80 percent of Treasury workers will be sent home.
  • 50 percent of Defense workers will be sent home.
  • 15 percent of Justice workers will be sent home.
  • IRS audit appointments would be canceled, but taxes would still have to be paid.
  • Social Security checks will still be mailed, Medicare and unemployment benefits would keep coming and food stamps would still be issued.
  • Mail will still be delivered.
  • Federal meat inspections will continue as usual.

In essence, the departments that stay open during a shutdown will be those that are directly related to our national security and public safety. So, what they’re saying with this shutdown is that the government is actually going to do what it was originally intended to do. They’re saying that the government is too big to be sending non-essential workers home.

What is sad is how those who represent the American people don’t conduct business like a business. If the average business conducted itself like Senator Reid is running the Senate, they would go out of business. Why not sit down and discuss line by line the differences each has with each other? I’m not rejoicing in those who will go home without a paycheck, but it simply goes to show that if a shutdown sends non-essential employees home, then it has gotten too big.

What does the government shutdown mean for you?

What we have learned from the government shutdown is that Philippians 4:19 is very relevant when it says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” If you listen to President Obama and his news cohorts, you would think the government is the one who supplies our needs. Christian, you must realize that God is still in control and that He will supply your needs whether the government is running or whether it is shut down. Philippians 4:19 is relevant in good times and bad.

Let this government shutdown be a lesson to you that God is the One Who truly supplies our needs and not the federal government. Will the government shutdown really affect us? I can’t say and neither can an economist, because we don’t know the future. What I do know is that God will continue to supply my needs and yours like He has your whole life. So don’t fret, just keep trusting God.

Is There a Double Standard

Is-There-a-Double-Standardby: Allen Domelle

In light of the National Security Agency leaker, Edward Snowden, the Obama administration has come out very strong against his act. After leaking to the British news source, The Guardian, about the NSA’s massive surveillance program, Snowden fled to Hong Kong and then to Russia seeking asylum. He is reportedly seeking asylum from several countries that will keep him from being extradited to the United States to face felony charges.

China and Russia have both snubbed the pressure given by the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry. Mr. Kerry said, “It would be very disappointing if he was willfully allowed to board an airplane” from Hong Kong to Moscow. He admonished Russia to hand over Snowden by adding, “I’d urge them to live within the law.”

My attention is not on the legality of what Mr. Snowden did. As a U.S. citizen, I am quite troubled that the government thinks they need to gather information on law abiding citizens. Though they say that no one is looking at the data, then what is the purpose of gathering it? If you’re not looking at it, then why gather it? Whether Mr. Snowden is a whistle blower or someone who committed an act of treason is for the law to determine.

However, for Mr. Kerry to reprimand Russia and Hong Kong to live within the law is nothing more than hypocrisy. This demand is nothing more than a double standard. I agree governments should abide by the law, especially in light of former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, lying to Congress about her knowledge of changing the story of the Benghazi attacks to the news media. I agree that governments ought to abide by the law when Attorney General, Eric Holder, lied under oath to Congress about knowledge of the NSA surveillance program. I agree that governments should abide by the law in light of the IRS singling out conservative groups.

Mr. Kerry, before you start instructing other countries to abide by the law, I would think you need to talk to your own boss about abiding by the law in light of all the scandals that President Obama is facing. It seems to this writer that the current administration has a double standard when it comes to their expectations of others abiding by the law.

The Scriptures are very clear on having a double standard. Leviticus 24:22 says, “Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God.” Notice, the government is not above the law. There is to be one law for everyone. The government is to obey the laws that they are elected to uphold. God re-emphasizes this point in Numbers 15:16 when He says, “One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.” Again, God makes it clear that the stranger and the citizen or government are to all have one law which they are to obey.

Romans 13:1 commands, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” “Every soul” includes elected officials. If the elected official breaks the law, then they should have to pay the same price as the citizen would if they broke the law.

A double standard should not be accepted by anyone. As for Mr. Kerry’s demand to “live within the law,” I concur. I’m in no way defending Russia or Hong Kong, I’m simply saying that before he urges others to obey the law, then his boss and fellow government employees ought to live within the law that they were appointed to uphold and not have a double standard for themselves.

Lying, Does It Really Matter?

Lying-Does-It-Really-Matter by: Allen Domelle

“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest, or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked the Senate Foreign Relations Committee at a hearing on the September 11, 2012. This hearing was in response to the four Americans who were killed in the attack on the American embassy in Benghazi, Libya.

The answer to his question is, YES, IT MATTERS! It matters because U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith and Glen Doherty were killed in this attack. These are four lives whose families will live without them because someone didn’t properly do their job. It matters because American integrity is at stake. It matters because truth is at stake.

We then discover on May 10, 2013, that the Benghazi talking points were changed 12 different times to take out any reference of terrorism. ABC News obtained 12 different versions of the talking points that showed they were extensively changed to protect the president and his re-election campaign. Instead of telling the truth, they blamed the whole attack on a video made in the United States. President Obama’s staff knowingly went out and lied to the American people about what truly happened the night of the attack.

One may ask, “Does it really matter if they lied?” Let me make this clear, it always matters if someone lies. If the truth is not known, then the only thing that people have to believe are lies. To lie to the American people puts a question on the integrity of every one who told those lies from President Obama on down.

Proverbs 12:22 says, “Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.” God detests lying because it is the opposite of Who He is. We find out that the father of lies is the Devil in John 8:44 when it says, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” Anytime you tell a lie, you are doing the work of the Devil.

On the other hand, we find that truth comes from God. John 14:6 says, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jesus emphasizes the importance of being truthful by showing us that He is the Truth. God further emphasizes this in John 17:17 when He says, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” So, when you tell the truth, you are doing the work of God.

It is important that we learn to tell the truth all the time. They often say that the cover up, which is nothing more than telling a lie, is worse than the act, and God’s Word would agree. God calls lying an abomination. Even if telling the truth means it is going to hurt you, you should always tell the truth.

Let me take this one step further. There is no difference between President Obama lying, and Christians who lie to cover the truth. It doesn’t matter what your reasoning is for covering the truth is; lying is always wrong. Christians should never lie and this includes preachers. When a pastor knows something has gone wrong, he should not lie to cover the sin. Sin must always be dealt with, and covering it is dishonesty. You may think you are doing someone justice, but you are doing them an injustice because you are teaching them to be deceitful which is the same as lying.

Always remember that when you lie, you are doing the work of the Devil. On the other hand, when you tell the truth, you are doing the work of God. Lying always matters because it is always wrong and the truth is not being told. It doesn’t matter what the reasoning for lying may be, it is always wrong. Anyone, especially those who are in leadership positions, should be truthful at all costs and held accountable when they lie. Don’t let the Devil trick you into believing that the lies of President Obama and his staff don’t matter. They do matter because truth was covered up, and truth is one thing that is supposed to be upheld.

Let’s Never Forget

Lets-Never-ForgetLET’S NEVER FORGET
by: Allen Domelle

Last month should be a month America never forgets. But, if we do what we have always done, it won’t be long until we get back to our normal godless ways.

On Monday, April 15, 2013, two cowardly Muslim terrorists set off two bombs that killed three and injured more than 170 people. I was barely getting off the plane when I read the news report about this tragedy. The next five days America patiently waited until finally on Friday night, April 19th, the last bomber was captured alive. Yes, I rejoiced that these two cowards were either killed or captured.

As we watched the events of the law enforcement chasing these two men, my daughter asked me if this was what it was like on September 11, 2001. She was too young to remember what happened on that day. The only thing she knew about that infamous day was what she had either heard from my wife and I talking about it or what the news media occasionally mentioned about it.

What struck me about this past month is how quickly we forget tragedies. You would think America would stay alert after September 11, 2001. Sadly, we let our guard down and more innocent victims are killed and injured. The lives of those injured will never be the same. Many who went to either run the marathon or see a loved one cross the finish line never imagined that their life would be changed forever. Over 170 people will, for the rest of their lives, pay the price for those who should have been more alert. I certainly understand that you can’t stop everything, but there is no doubt in my mind that this could have been averted.

1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” God warns that the adversary is always lurking to attack and attempting to destroy us. The adversary never sleeps. The adversary never forgets. You can’t negotiate with the adversary, because the only thing they want is to devour you. When the adversary negotiates an agreement, they don’t intend to keep it because their whole intent is to destroy you.

My desire is that America will never forget the events of April 15, 2013. I know I’m asking a lot of people, but we must always remember there are evil nations and evil people who, like the Devil, want to devour and destroy our nation. Our political leaders need to remember that no one can negotiate with terrorists. The only desire of the terrorists is to destroy America. Why do these terrorists hate America? It’s not because we are a wealthy nation. It’s not because of our way of life. There are other nations that are wealthy and live comfortably. Make no mistake, it is because we support Israel, and we claim to be one nation under Jehovah God. They hate America because of the God on Whom we were founded. They hate America because we stand with God’s people, Israel. This is the whole reason why they want America destroyed.

We must never let our guard down. We must never think that the Muslim religion is a peace-loving religion. It is a religion of hate that wants one thing; America completely destroyed! Political posturing doesn’t strengthen America, instead it weakens her. Pushing God out of the public arena will not strengthen our nation, rather it will destroy our nation. We must remember Who made this nation strong, and the Who is Jehovah God. We must not push Him out for the sake of political correctness, but we must push political correctness out for the sake of God. We must not try to lower God to our lifestyle, but we must raise our lifestyle to God’s expectations. We can stop these mindless, cowardly acts if we will acknowledge that those who want to live in our country and become citizens must understand that we are “One nation under God,” and not “One nation under many gods.” When they come to our nation, they need to leave their gods behind.

Christian, let me encourage you to never forget the acts of last month. Don’t ever forget that the Devil is out to destroy our nation. He destroys it by getting Christians to let up. He destroys it by getting us to let up our guard. If you will keep your life in tune with how God wants you to live, then you will be aware of the Devil’s agenda. Check your heart and life and be sure that you are doing what God would want you to do. Always remember that the blessings upon a nation are dependent upon God’s people. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” If you want God to heal your nation, then you must humble yourself before God, confess your sins to him and live according to His Word. This is the only way that we can be sure to never forget.

Is the Pope Infallible?

Is-the-Pope-Infallible

IS THE POPE INFALLIBLE?
by: Allen Domelle

On February 28, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI shocked the world by announcing his retirement. A pope has not retired for over six centuries. The rumors for the reason of his retirement is that he was forced out, or his health is not good. Whatever the reason, it sent shockwaves throughout the Catholic community.

Since he announced his retirement, many experts are struggling with how to handle it. “What is the status of an ex-pope?” asked Ken Pennington, a professor of ecclesiastical and legal history at the Catholic University of America in Washington. “We have no rules about that at all. What is his title? What are his powers? Does he lose infallibility?”

The last question grabbed my attention. The fact that this professor would ask whether the pope is a mere human since he stepped down amazed me. It amazed me, not that he thought he was human, but that he actually thought as pope he was infallible.

Is the pope infallible? This needs to be answered as this is what the Catholic church believes. They believe every edict of the pope are the very words of God. They believe that his position makes him infallible.

Romans 3:10 says, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” Notice the word “none.” It didn’t say, “Except the pope.” God’s Word says, “none” are righteous. That means every person who walks the face of this Earth has sinned; this includes the pope.

1 John 1:10 says, “If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” When the Catholic church professes that the pope is infallible, they are in essence calling God a liar. God says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” If the pope is not a sinner, then this verse is false. If this verse is false, then what other verses in the Scriptures are not true? If I must choose between trusting God’s Word or the pope, I will always trust God’s Word that every man, including the pope, is a sinner.

Moreover, by saying that the pope is infallible, they are saying that he can forgive sin. The Scriptures say in Mark 2:7 “Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?” One of the accusations of the enemies of Christ who challenged His deity is that only God can forgive sins. They didn’t believe that Jesus Christ was God. Many believe the pope is capable of forgiving one’s sins. Daniel 9:9 says, To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;” God’s Word teaches that God is the only One Who can forgive sins. When the Catholic community proclaims that the pope is infallible, they are lifting him up to the status of deity which is unscriptural.

So, is the pope infallible? According to the Scriptures, NO! He is a sinner like everyone else. He needs a Saviour like everyone else. If the pope doesn’t put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save him from his sins, then he will go to Hell like everyone else who rejects Jesus’ atonement for sins. I understand that this may rile those who are friendly towards the Catholics, but it is not a matter of trying to keep people happy, it is a matter of the validity of God’s Word. Proclaiming that the pope is infallible is nothing more than blasphemy.

Always remember that no matter what religion a man may represent, they are still human and in need of a Saviour. Every spiritual leader is at best a sinner. Every spiritual leader will go to Hell if they don’t accept Christ. There is no religious leader who is sinless, and who has reached the level of infallibility. Jesus Christ did not become the Son of God, He always was and will be the Son of God. Jesus Christ is the ONLY One Who is infallible, for He is the Son of God.

Friend, religion will not save any of person. The only thing that determines one’s salvation is what they do with Jesus Christ. If a person accepts Christ as their Saviour without adding works, then they will go to Heaven. Everyone who rejects this will spend an eternity in Hell. Don’t fall for the lies of the world who want to deify the pope and call him infallible. There is One Who is righteous; God. Everyone else is a sinner!

Kicking the Can Down the Road

Kicking-the-Can-Down-the-RoadKICKING THE CAN DOWN THE ROAD
by: Allen Domelle

By the time this article is published, the automatic budget cuts called the sequester will either have gone into affect or Congress and the President will have reached a late-night agreement. The dirty little secret about the sequester is not that they will be spending less money, but that they won’t be able to spend as much money as they wanted. In my opinion that wouldn’t be bad. Instead of laying people off, they should simply tell each department to cut spending in areas where it isn’t necessary, but that is not what this government is interested in.

However, there is another deadline looming that the news hasn’t even began to cover, and that is the continuing resolution that funds the government happens at the end of March. This is a far greater problem than the sequester because that is when the government completely runs out of money. In other words, they will have to shut the government down. You would think this would be a priority, but apparently it is not. As far we know there have been no talks yet about settling this budget crisis.

The handling of these problems has been a travesty. Instead of being solution oriented and settling the financial crisis by coming up with a budget that cuts spending and ends needless entitlements, the Congress and the President have chosen to continually kick the can down the road. The lack of leadership is atrocious. You can only kick the can down the road for so long until it finally comes back to bite you.

There is a great lesson we can all learn from the mishandling of these problems. The lesson is that you should be a solutions oriented person who handles your problems at hand instead of kicking the can down the road. James 4:15-16 says, “Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” God’s command is to take care of situations now because you don’t know what tomorrow holds. You can kick the can down the road, but you still have the problem and will have to deal with it eventually. Our government officials have foolishly kicked the can down the road, and one day they will have kicked the can one too many times. Leadership shouldn’t put off until tomorrow, but leadership should be solutions oriented and settle today’s problems today.

Let me take this thought into the personal realm. You can kick the can down the road with your marital problems, or you can become solution oriented and settle them today. Marital problems will not get better by ignoring them. In fact, they will only get worse if you kick them down the road. Whenever you have marital problems, decide to find the solution to your problems.

Moreover, pastors must be careful about continually kicking the can down the road. I have seen many pastors make the mistake of thinking a problem will go away. In my experience, the problem may go away for the present, but it will come back. The bad part is that when it comes back it will be bigger. A pastor should be a person who is solution oriented and find the solution to the problem instead of kicking the can down the road.

Furthermore, be careful that you don’t kick the can down the road with your finances. Friend, the best thing you can do is find the solution to your financial problems today. Putting off financial woes will not make them better. You are going to have to face your financial problems someday, so now is the best time to find the solution to your financial problems.

You always have a choice when problems come. You can either kick the can down the road, or you can become solution oriented and solve the problem. Yes, most of the time facing the problem is very uncomfortable and places much pressure on you, but in the end it is better to face your problems now than to face them when you are in dire straights. I challenge you not to be like our government officials who kick the can down the road, but to become a solutions oriented person who handles problems head on when they come. You will find this is the best way to keep your life from becoming continually stressful.

Those Evil Guns

Those-Evil-GunsTHOSE EVIL GUNS
by: Allen Domelle

The killing of the innocent children at the Sandy Hook Elementary was one of the most tragic events that has happened in my lifetime. Of course, it is always difficult to say that one senseless killing is more tragic than another. The fact is, every killing is tragic. People lose loved ones because of selfish people who want to take their vendetta out on innocent people.

In the wake of this tragic event, there has been a call from the left to have tighter gun control laws. Every time something like this happens, they always start going after the freedoms of Americans. Every time something like this happens they try to blame the gun for the evil that happened. Why is it that they think guns are so evil?

On the same day of the tragic killings in Connecticut, a 36-year-old Chinese man attacked 22 children with a knife in China. Where was the call to have tighter knife laws? Certainly, if guns are evil because several innocent people were killed by one gun, then knives are just as evil. Or, maybe airplanes are evil and we need to have tighter airplane laws because 3 airplanes were used as weapons to kill over 3,000 people on September 11, 2001.

No, the problem is not the guns, knives or airplanes. The problem are the evil gunmen, knifemen and terrorists. Yes, these people are evil! What the press fails to report is that people are the cause of these horrible events. They don’t arrest the car that kills someone because of the drunk driver, they arrest the drunk driver. It is always people who are at fault and they will use whatever is at hand to hurt people.

So, why would the liberals want to outlaw guns knowing that the guns are not evil. The Scripture plainly shows us what happens when people don’t have weapons. 1 Samuel 13:19-22 says, “Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears: But all the Israelites went down to the Philistines, to sharpen every man his share, and his coulter, and his axe, and his mattock. Yet they had a file for the mattocks, and for the coulters, and for the forks, and for the axes, and to sharpen the goads. So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found.”

You can see very plainly in this verse that the Israelites had no swords in the land. The Philistines knew that if they took the swords out of the hands of the Israelites, then they would have no way in which to defend themselves. That is why Saul purposed to get swords into the hands of the Israelites, because he wanted them to have a way to defend themselves from the enemy.

The sword in the Scriptures would be equivalent to our guns. Guns are the weapons we use to defend ourselves. Our American forefathers knew that when they wrote in the Constitution that every American had the right to bear arms, that these weapons were the very things that would keep this nation free. This right is not just an American right, but this right is a God-given right.

The only reason a liberal would want to take the guns out of the hands of citizens is so that citizens would not have any way to defend themselves if liberals so chose to take this country in a different direction. Though I am not for anarchy, I am for the right of the people to be able to defend themselves. If they take the guns out of the hands of citizens, then the citizen will have no way in which to defend themselves from evil people.

Having tighter gun laws may sound compassionate, but what is more compassionate is giving people the right to bear arms so they can defend themselves. Guns are not evil; people are evil. The only way to stop these senseless killings is to change the hearts of evil people. The hearts of evil people will only be changed with the Word of God. If liberals will put the Scriptures back into the public schools and public arena, then the Scriptures will be able to change the hearts of evil men. Don’t be fooled by the liberal agenda of making you think that guns are evil. Always remind them that it is evil people whom we need to change, and the only way they will be changed is with the Word of God.

Who’s To Blame?

whos_to_blameWHO’S TO BLAME
by: Allen Domelle

This past month, one of the most horrific events happened to four American citizens when enemies of the United States attacked our embassy in Libya. Immediately after the attack, the blame was instantly placed on a YouTube movie put out by an American who made a mockery of Mohammed.

The immediate response from the State Department and from the President was amazing. The president simply said, “I strongly condemn the outrageous attack.” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton described this attack as a “senseless act of violence.” The harshest language was not directed towards the enemies of the United States, but it was directed towards this filmmaker by both the

administration and news media. In the USA Today newspaper, a liberal professor suggested that the filmmaker should be arrested. The President said concerning the film, “WE reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.” Hillary Clinton said, “The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.” Not one time did they talk about how disgusting and abhorrent these attacks were.

Furthermore, the Obama administration criticized Mitt Romney for his strong condemnation of the attacks and of the administration’s response to the attack by going after the filmmaker of the film and not those who attacked our citizens. Romney’s statement concerning the attacks were, “I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi,” He continued by saying, “It’s disgraceful that the Obama administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.” You would think that Mitt Romney and the filmmaker were the evil one’s by the way the Obama administration and the news media responded.

As an American, I am concerned with President Obama’s policies towards the Middle East. He seems to be more interested in appeasing the terrorists who hate Americans than he is about standing with Israel who is our friend and ally. The response to condemn those who practiced free speech instead of condemning the enemies who killed Americans in Libya is simply unacceptable. Every American should be outraged that our embassies were attacked. Every American should be incensed that free speech is the enemy and not those who put the lives of American citizens at risk. I have never seen the film, and probably never will, but the film is not the issue. The issue is that American citizens were killed and that the Obama administration is more interested in appeasing the Muslim world than they are with defending their citizens.

The Scriptures are very clear that a nation has a right to defend itself. Ezekiel 33:6 says, “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.” The purpose of the watchman was to get the troops ready when they saw the enemy coming. The watchman was to warn the people to get ready to fight when they were attacked.

God gives a nation the right to defend itself when attacked. Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.” The government is responsible for defending its citizens. God goes further to show that He holds people accountable for their actions in Romans 14:12 when it says, “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” God commands the government to hold those accountable who shed innocent blood.

I believe the Obama administration has done the American people a great disservice by attacking free speech and not those who shed the blood of American citizens. The Scriptures clearly teach that God will hold those in leadership accountable for how they deal with the shedding of innocent blood. This administration should stop worrying about political correctness and the elections and do the job that they were elected to do, keep the American people safe!
